Preheat Resin

This 4-in-1 curing and washing machine preheats resin for use before printing it. Resins can sometimes change state when they are being stored, so it’s recommended to vigorously shake the bottle for a minute or two before use with a 3D printer. Preheating the resin using the Prusa Curing and Washing Machine (CW15) heats up the resin to the perfect temperature and state to use your resin for 3D printing with the Original Prusa SL1S. 

Washing Your Printed Model

There are many steps involved when creating a 3D printed model that is made more accessible by the Prusa Curing and Washing Machine (CW15), including washing and drying when a new model is finished printing. Washing the new model gets rid of any uncured resin that may be lingering on the surface. In the Prusa Curing and Washing Machine (CW15), there are magnetic propellers that stir the isopropyl alcohol inside of a stainless steel tank to ensure that the entire model gets thoroughly cleaned without being too aggressive but still getting the job done, even for smaller objects. The stainless steel tank is easily removable from the curing and washing machine and comes with a lid to ensure your model and the cleaning liquid stay in place while cleaning your model. The magnetic propellers will continue to spin even if the lid is removed, but they stop if the stainless steel tank is removed. 

Drying Your Printed Model

After drying a 3D printed model, the model has to be cured using UV lights. This makes drying the model critical to avoid leaving any stains from resin residue. This 4-in-1 device dries the newly finished 3D printed models to prepare them for curing. To dry the printed model, place the print on the spinning wheel inside the machine. Then close the lid and start the machine. Your model will rotate slowly while drying. 

Curing Your Printed Model

Curing is one of the last steps to finishing a newly printed 3D model. This 4-in-1 curing and washing machine cures newly printed models. This device has 4 UV LED light strips for optimal curing. Curing is important to the resin printing process because otherwise printed objects are relatively soft. Curing the model using UV lights creates a more solid object, giving the new model optimal surface properties.

This device features an IR sensor that detects whether there is still a liquid container inside the machine. It features a screen that allows the selection of various functions accordingly. This makes the device easier to use through different processes of 3D printing. These multiple functions are for curing, washing, and drying. For some of these settings, you can change the temperature or the spin speed. There are also sound settings on the display menu. The sound settings are to control whether the display makes noise as you select different things and whether there is a final beep when your printed model is done with whichever part of the process they are in.
