In the world of 3D printing, there are several types of materials to choose from to create various projects. When selecting which printing material to use for your project, things to consider include ease of use, strength, and flexibility. A quality filament that fits all of these characteristics is the OVERTURE PETG.

OVERTURE PETG

Here are the basic characteristics of the OVERTURE PETG:

Brand: OVERTURE

Copolyester Type: PETG

Color: Army Green

Filament Diameter: 1.75 mm

Diameter Tolerance: ±0.03 mm

Weight: 1 kg

OVERTURE PETG 3D Printing Filament

The OVERTURE PETG 3D printing filament is a highly durable thermoplastic polyester made from premium PETG resin. It has a nozzle temperature range of 230-250C and a bed temperature range of 80-90C. The OVERTURE PETG has a consistent 1.75 mm diameter (+/- 0.03), making it compatible with many currently used 3D printing machines. The filament flows smoothly through the printing nozzle with Overture’s patented clog-free formula. The finished print cools to a hard, accurate print with no significant shrinkage or warping.

PETG Plastic

The material used for the OVERTURE PETG is Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol, abbreviated as PETg or PET-G. PETG is a thermoplastic polyester, a food-safe, non-toxic, and recyclable material. The development of PETG was meant to mediate between the advantages and disadvantages of ABS and PLA plastics. Where PETG is stronger than PLA, it is not as strong as ABS. On the other hand, PETG is more flexible than ABS but not as much as PLA. This makes PETG useful for 3D projects in the mid-range of needed strength and flexibility. PETG is popularly used for beverage bottles and food packaging as a food-safe plastic.

Here Comes The Overture!

The OVERTURE PETG 3D filament is produced by Overture 3D Technologies, LLC. Overture is based in Wilmington, DE, USA, and has over 8 years of experience in the 3D industry. Overture is dedicated to researching and developing quality 3D printing materials, printers and accessories. An example of this is their OVERTURE PETG, which is a PETG plastic formula developed to be an improvement to commonly marketed PETG. Overture backs their products with a lifetime guarantee and attention to every detail of the products they make.

Packaging

The OVERTURE PETG 3D printing filament comes on a clear spool in a vacuum-sealed aluminum foil package.
